OUR AIM

The aim of the school is to promote the intellectual, personal, social, spiritual, cultural and physical development of all our pupils and to prepare them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life.

In order to achieve this aim, we seek to provide a broad and balanced curriculum and a wide range of extra-curricular activities with a view to helping all pupils realise their full potential. The school is staffed to deal efficiently with pupils of all ability levels, from potential ‘A’ level candidates to those who require special help with reading and basic Maths. In addition, special provision is made for children with moderate learning difficulties.

We recognise that pupils are individuals and the school has a well developed pastoral care system through which the progress and well-being of every pupil can be carefully monitored. In this way, any problems which pupils may encounter are identified and dealt with promptly and sympathetically.

INFORMATION

From September 2011 we will begin to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.
We are in the process of planning a full year of events and will post all the details on our site as soon as dates have been confirmed.  We seek to make these community events involving past pupils and teachers.
Click the 50 link to keep in touch with these events.
